Vertical Awnings

Outdoor screens that drop vertically to close off the open side of a terrace.

A vertical awning is a roller screen that drops down the open side of a terrace, pergola, or balcony. It cuts the low afternoon sun and the glare a roof cannot stop, and rolls away completely when it is not needed. Built with European-quality fabrics and weather-resistant hardware, it covers wide bays with manual or motorized operation.

Use cases

  • Balcony under a beamed roof with awning screens lowered over the wrought-iron railing, rattan armchairs and tropical planting.

    Balconies and walkways

Drop the screen over the railing to work or rest on the balcony mid-afternoon without the sun in your face, then roll it away when the shade returns.

  • Metal pergola with lattice panels and a white awning screen lowered on one side, on a wooden deck in a tropical garden.

    Pergolas, ranchos, and restaurants

Close one or more sides of the pergola to protect diners from the sun and occasional rain without building walls.

  • White awning screen lowered over a wooden deck, with a rattan lounge chair and a tropical garden at sunset.

    Decks and lounge areas

A single screen on the exposed side of the deck is enough to win the afternoon back, and the UV-treated fabric protects the outdoor furniture.
